She started her journey by studying dentistry at the University of Khartoum, Sudan, and successfully graduated in 2009. Dr. Mona had an opportunity to complete her postgraduate studies in Paediatric Dentistry at the University of Western Cape, Cape Town, South Africa 2018 where the best Professors at the Tygerberg Hospital trained her. After that, she moved back to her country, Sudan, where she was licensed as a qualified pediatric specialist and served at the University of Khartoum and Alribat University. Dr. Mona is glad to be a member of the team of pediatric dentist specialists at Appolonia Advanced Pediatric Dental Center based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, to make sure all children get the best oral health care.
Dr. Mona is a Sudanese pediatric dentist who considers Abu Dhabi to be her lovable hometown, where she grew up with her family and got to finish high school at Rosary School in 2003. She has more than 11 years of experience as a dentist and over 5 years in pediatric dentistry. She describes her work day as unpredictable and full of challenges, yet she is satisfied by the achievement and happy smiles eventually. She also believes each child is unique and has a different approach to overcoming their dental fear as her main goal is to make a child’s dental experience a positive one. Moreover, she is passionate about caring for children with special needs and educating their caregivers to reach an optimum level of oral health.
